Japa Mala Beads
Japa Mala is a string of beads used to count mantras in sets of 27, 54 or 108 with one extra bead representing a starting and ending point for counting the repetitions. It is used by Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs to keep the mind in focus for the practice of meditation, while other cultures and religions used it for prayer, rosary and worry beads.
