Very good for rejuvenation, while offering protection against negative energy, black salt has a variety of uses. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. into a warm bath alongside your choice of bath salts, and feel your worries alleviate. Place black salt in a bag with your crystals to energetically cleanse them for future use. If you suffer from nightmares, sprinkle a pinch of black salt into a bowl of water and place it under your bed.

Water air plant by dunking the plant in water once every 2 weeks. If you notice your environment is dry, you may need to do this more often. Don’t worry about getting your crystal wet. We selected ones that will be okay in water.

Tillandsia like to dry out completely. Ensure that it’s placed in a warm location to dry out. Place air plant in indirect sunlight. Every few months use Bromeliad fertilizer as food for your air plant. Just mix it in the dunking water.

If your air plant is super happy it may produce a flower. When it produces a flower you can pinch the flower off to preserve the energy for the plant if you wish. Air plants also produce pups (babies) when this happens, the mom will wither, but the baby will then become the new plant! YAY!

Salt is hygroscopic which means it absorbs water. It’s natural for your salt lamp to absorb moisture from the air. Sometimes the environment is very humid and the lamp absorbs lots of water. This causes white spots and some runs of salty water.

3 things you can do to help is to wipe off the excess moisture build-up, relocate the lamp to a dryer location, and keep it on more frequently (the heat from the light bulb helps dry up the moisture the salt absorbs)

Geodes are rock structures that form in different sizes and shapes. The formation of crystal points or layers of banded crystals can be seen in the whole space when cracking them open. These funny-looking potato-like stones have unique treasures within. Naturally occur when sedimentary rock develops pockets of air bubbles, producing cavities where minerals can grow. Isn’t that amazing?!

Here’s how to see the beauty within:

• To crack it open, place the geode inside a newspaper, paper bag, and or cloth.
• Lay it on a flat hard surface like pavement or workbench and hit it gently with a hammer in the middle so it opens evenly.
• Then, you can check those beauties inside. The inside has amazing sparkling crystals.

• Light the end of the bundle (ideally, with a candle). Let stand until smoke is produced, then quickly blow it out.
• The tips should smolder slowly, releasing thick smoke.
• Waft the smoke towards yourself or your space with a feather or your hand.
• Collect the ash into a ceramic bowl or a shell. Check out Peace Streaks for more detailed instructions.

• Place sand on a heat-resistant surface (like a shell or metal tray) to prevent slippage and burning.
• Place a charcoal puck on the burning surface and light with matches or a lighter.
• Allow 5-15 minutes for the charcoal to reach full temperature, until a layer of ash forms.
• Carefully add a small amount of resin and let burn. Repeat until charcoal is exhausted.

NOTES. Open a window or burn outside; Resin produces a lot of smoke. Let cool completely before discarding. DO NOT touch puck or surface with hands once lit. DO NOT leave unattended. Check out Peace Streaks for more detailed instructions.

The cure of a new soapstone pot is primarily for appearance’s sake.

1. Apply grease to your soapstone pot and lid, inside and out with a cooking oil of your choice.
2. Fill the pot with water to the line of the metal ribbon.
3. Put in the oven the pot and the lid and bring the water to a boil on the low setting of your gas or electric stove. Allow the water to boil uncovered for 30 minutes, then let the water return to room temperature on its own.
4. Repeat the process once more, wash the soapstone, and it’s ready for use. To cure your round griddle stone, follow the steps above for greasing, then place in a moderate oven for 15 minutes. Allow cooling, grease again and back in the oven for another 15 minutes.

Warranty

Every soapstone piece is hand fashioned and will show individual marks that are the beautiful quality about these pieces. All pieces are warranted to be free of cracks and other defects in the material and workmanship that are apparent upon delivery and upon initial use. Proper care will ensure that you can put the soapstone piece in your will. A soapstone pot cannot be left dry (empty) on a stovetop. Never pour any liquid into a heated soapstone pot: it will crack and the warranty doesn’t cover it.

Yes! Multiple times per year, we send in soapstone samples to a lab to be tested for Asbestos and other materials.
