Description

Septarian tumbled stone

Septarian is also called Dragon’s stone because when polished they look like dragon’s eggs.

Septarian is a rock composed of Calcite, aragonite and limestone. It was mostly formed around 50 to 70 millions years ago when volcanic eruptions killed smaller sea life which had their shell materials decompose and bond to the sea floor. When the ocean receaded and dried up it formed these really cool looking nodules and concretions.
