Crystal Shop Website Build
Done-for-you ecommerce websites for crystal shops
I'll build your online store. You handle the crystals.
A complete Shopify ecommerce website — designed, your products loaded, payments, shipping and taxes configured, ready to take orders the day it goes live. Built by someone who has sold crystals for a living since 2002, not an agency who has never held one. $1,000 of opening inventory in the box. One flat price, and the store is yours to own.
- $2,995 CAD, all in
- Shopify ecommerce
- Up to 30 products loaded
- Live in 2–3 weeks
- $1,000 of opening inventory included
- You own the store, not me
This is the website. If you're opening a bricks-and-mortar shop and need the stock on the shelves, that's the Crystal Shop-in-a-Box instead — or take both.
- A full Shopify ecommerce store, designed and loaded, that can take orders on day one.
- $2,995 CAD, one payment, no retainer and no monthly lock-in.
- Built by Arthur — not an agency, not offshore, not a project manager.
- $1,000 of opening inventory at Stonebridge suggested retail, chosen with you.
- Built on a free Shopify dev store, so you pay Shopify nothing until it goes live.
- Transferred to you at launch — your store, your account, your data.
- A free professional theme, so there is no $400 theme licence on top.
It's me. Hi.
Our own shelves at The Rock Space. This is the part I can help with that a web agency can't.
Sites I've built
Four of these are businesses I own or run with my family. One I built for a customer. I'm showing you my own first on purpose — if I wouldn't run my livelihood on it, I shouldn't be selling it to you.

Stonebridge Imports
Our wholesale business. Thousands of products, wholesale pricing that only shows when you're logged in, and a catalogue that has to stay fast.

The Rock Space
Our retail shop in Kitchener. Events, jewellery, a bracelet builder and a live-sale schedule — the closest thing to what most new crystal shops need.

Firelight Metaphysical
Built for a customer. She wanted Square because her in-person sales already ran on it, so that's what she got — the platform should follow the business, not my preferences.

Crystal Plushie
Our family's plush-toy brand, run by Malu. Kickstarter-funded, then a real store. Completely different look to the crystal sites, on purpose.

Tiny Village Parry Sound
Our glamping and RV park up north. Nothing to do with crystals — included because it shows I can build something that isn't a shop at all.
Every one of these is live right now. Click through and poke at them. Tiny Village isn't linked because it takes bookings and I'd rather you didn't land in the reservation flow by accident.
Why this exists
Because I watched too many good shop owners get quoted $6,000 by an agency that had never held a piece of amethyst, then get talked into a "brand discovery phase".
"$3,000 to $7,000, apparently"
That's the going rate in Ontario for a small Shopify build. It's not a rip-off — agencies have real costs. It's just a lot of money for someone who hasn't sold anything yet.
"Or $500 and roll the dice"
The cheap end can work. It can also leave you with a store where shipping is wrong, taxes aren't set up, and nobody will answer your email in March.
"And then the site is empty"
The bit nobody warns you about: a beautiful store with nothing in it. Product photos, descriptions, weights, prices — that's weeks of work, and it's the part people quit on.
"Which ones do I even list?"
Your developer can't tell you that amethyst and rose quartz pay the bills, or what to charge for a $6 tumbled stone. Mine's the only trade where that's the same conversation.
A web agency can build you a shop. It can't tell you what belongs in it. I can do both, and I already own the products.
What $2,995 gets you
All of it. There is no "phase two" where the price goes up.
The ecommerce store
- Shopify store built on a free development store — you pay Shopify nothing until launch
- A professional free theme configured to your brand: logo, colours, fonts
- Home, About, Contact and FAQ pages, written with you
- Shipping, returns, privacy and terms policies in place
- Collections and navigation structured so people can actually find things
- Your domain connected, with email forwarding if you need it
The products
- Up to 30 products loaded properly — photos, descriptions, weights, prices
- Stonebridge product photography and copy, licensed for you to use
- Suggested retail on every item so you're not guessing at margin
- Collections built around how crystal customers actually shop
The plumbing
- Payments, taxes and shipping rates configured and tested with a real order
- Email capture plus a welcome email that goes out automatically
- Abandoned-cart email switched on
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and a product feed for Meta and Google
- Titles, descriptions, alt text and a sitemap submitted to Google
- Checked on an actual phone, not just a browser window squeezed narrow
The part that isn't a website
- $1,000 of opening inventory at Stonebridge suggested retail, chosen with you
- A one-hour call on assortment, pricing and your opening promo
- A one-hour training call, recorded, so you can run the store yourself
- The Stonebridge digital library: crystal database, 29 editable eBooks, pricing calculator
- A wholesale account so you can reorder at wholesale from day one
- A launch checklist, so nothing gets forgotten at 2am the night before
The $1,000 of crystals is not a gimmick
It's the difference between launching a store and launching a business. A new shop with an empty catalogue is just a nice-looking page.
We pick it together on the call: what fits your space, your customer and your price points. Roughly a third in the $4–$12 impulse band that funds your week, a quarter in bracelets and pendants because they're the highest repeat-rate items in the category, the rest in gifting pieces and one or two things big enough to stop someone in the doorway.
It ships priced and ready to photograph or shelve, and it's the same stock that goes out to shops we've supplied for twenty years. Then you have a wholesale account and you reorder at wholesale, from us, forever — which, since you asked, is exactly why I can do this at $2,995 instead of $6,000.
Value is at Stonebridge suggested retail — what the crystals are expected to sell for on your shelf, not what they cost us. Opening a physical shop rather than an online one? The Crystal Shop-in-a-Box is the bigger version of this, with $10,000 of inventory.
What I don't do
I'd rather lose the sale here than disappoint you in week three. This is a fixed build at a fixed price, and it stays cheap because it stays contained.
- Custom code or a bespoke theme. A good free theme, configured well, beats a custom one nobody can update later.
- Logo or brand identity design. Bring yours. If you don't have one I'll point you at someone good.
- Custom photography. You get ours for Stonebridge products. Your own pieces, your own shop, your own photos.
- Custom apps or integrations. POS, accounting and inventory systems are all their own project.
- Unlimited revisions. Two rounds are included. After that it's billed by the hour, and I'll tell you before the meter starts.
- Writing your whole About page from scratch. I'll draft it. You have to tell me your story first — nobody can invent that for you.
The single thing that decides whether your build goes well is whether you send me your content. Logo, business name, a paragraph about why you started. Everything else I can handle. I've had builds sit for two months waiting on a logo, and it's nobody's idea of fun — so the clock starts when your intake is in, not when you pay.
How it goes
- You email me Tell me what you're opening and roughly when. I'll tell you straight whether this is right for you — sometimes the answer is "you don't need me yet".
- We talk for an hour Your shop, your customer, your products, your opening date. I send you an intake form and a short content list.
- I build it On a free development store, so Shopify isn't billing you while I work. You see it as it comes together, not at the end.
- Two rounds of changes You poke at it, I fix things. Then we load your inventory and set the products live.
- I hand you the keys Store ownership transfers to you, we do the training call, and your opening inventory ships.
Most builds go live 2–3 weeks after your intake is complete. If you have a hard opening date, say so at step one and I'll work backwards from it.
The point of all of it. Photos from The Rock Space, our own shop.
What it costs, next to what it usually costs

| The build | $2,995 all in | $3,000–$7,000 | $500–$1,500 |
| Products loaded for you | Up to 30, with photos and copy | Usually extra | You do it |
| Theme licence | $0 — free theme | $300–$400 on top | Maybe |
| Opening inventory | $1,000 included | Not their business | No |

| Who you actually talk to | Me, every time | A project manager | Whoever's awake |
One payment
$2,995CAD
50% to start, 50% at launch
- Everything on this page, including the $1,000 of opening inventory
- Two rounds of revisions
- Store ownership transferred to you at launch
- 30 days of email support after you go live, no charge
What's not in the $2,995: Shopify's own platform fee, which they bill you directly (Basic is around $49 CAD a month, less if you pay annually), and your domain if you don't already own one (roughly $20 a year). I never put your store on my billing — that's how people end up hostage to their developer.
Afterwards, if you want it: $149 a month for store care — up to 10 new products a month, a seasonal collection refresh, and me on the other end of an email when something breaks. Entirely optional, cancel whenever. Plenty of people take the store and run it themselves, which is the whole point of handing you the keys.
Things people ask me
Do I have to use Stonebridge as my supplier?
No. You'll own the store outright and you can stock whatever you like, from whoever you like. I'd obviously be glad if you kept buying from us, and most people do because it's easy and the exchange policy is good — but there's nothing in the build that locks you in. No contract, no exclusivity, no hostage situation.
What if I'm not selling crystals at all?
Then I'm probably not your best option. Everything that makes this cheap — the product data, the photography, the assortment advice — is crystal-specific. Email me anyway and I'll tell you honestly, and point you somewhere better if I'm not it.
Who owns the store when it's done?
You do, completely. I build on a Shopify development store and transfer ownership to you at launch, at which point you choose your plan and Shopify bills you directly. Your domain stays in your name the whole time. If you never speak to me again, nothing breaks.
Why is it so much cheaper than an agency?
Three reasons, and none of them are that the work is worse. There's no agency overhead — it's me. I've built this exact kind of store enough times that I'm not figuring it out on your dime. And I make money later when you reorder inventory, so the build doesn't have to carry the whole relationship.
Can I see it while you're building?
Yes, and you should. I'll send you a preview link early and you can watch it come together. I'd much rather hear "I hate that colour" in week one than at handover.
What if I already have a website?
Tell me what's on it. If it's Shopify already I can usually work on the existing store instead of building a new one, which is cheaper. If it's on Wix or Squarespace and you're moving to Shopify, migrating products is part of the build.
Do you do Square, Squarespace or WordPress?
I've built on Square and Squarespace — Firelight Metaphysical and Tiny Village above. For a crystal shop I'll almost always steer you to Shopify, because the product handling is better and that matters when you have 300 SKUs of natural stone. If you have a real reason for something else, say so and we'll talk.
How many of these have you done for other people?
Honestly: few. I've built and run a lot of stores, but almost all of them are my own businesses or family ones, plus Firelight. I'm telling you that rather than implying a client roster I don't have — and it's part of why the price is what it is right now.
What happens if I go quiet halfway through?
Nothing dramatic. Your build parks where it is and picks up when you're ready. Life happens. The only thing I ask is that you tell me, so I'm not chasing you.
Can I pay in instalments?
It's 50% to start and 50% at launch as standard. If that doesn't work, call me on 1-877-859-4367 and we'll sort something out. I'd rather work with you than lose you over timing.
Tell me what you're opening
One email. Tell me what the shop is, where you are, and roughly when you want to be live. I'll reply myself, usually the same day, and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it — I've talked people out of this before.
