What on Earth is Orgonite?

Orgonite is a beautifully layered substance that is composed of a 50-50 mixture of catalyzed fiberglass resin, metal shavings, and quartz. Not only does this object make up for one neat and shiny ornament but also, orgonite is used to balance and harmonize the bio-energy known as orgone, chi, or prana.

The History of Orgonite

The principle for Orgonite’s effects was based on research done by Dr. Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s. The analysis was about the existence of an omnipresent energy known as orgone energy. To show evidence of this subtle energy, he devised an orgone accumulator that was based on two principles: Organic materials such as resin to trap orgone energy and non-organic materials such as metal to simultaneously repel and attract that energy. By combining these two theories with the properties and behaviors of energy, Reich created alternate layers of metal and organic material.

Today, Reich’s accumulator evolved into what we now know as orgonite. The difference between the two is that orgonite contains quartz crystals or other substitute minerals. The quartz present in the crystal lattice creates a piezoelectric effect that emits a charge when subjected to pressure. This pressure is due to curing that shrinks the resin and in turn, applies constant pressure to the quartz crystal.

The Powers of Orgonite

The existence of this cosmic life energy was already known by other cultures way before Dr. Reich’s discovery. While Reich coined the word “Orgone,” in Traditional Chinese Medicine, they called it “Qi,” and in Ayurveda, it was termed “Prana.” People from various cultures with high sensitivity to energies managed to make sense of this energy’s properties. Trapping this energy into orgonite creates beneficial effects such as:

* Increased energy * Balanced Mood * Improved sleep and vivid dreams * Protection from harmful electromagnetic fields (EMF) * Spiritual and psychological growth * Increased immunity to illness * Boosts plant growth * Eliminates negative energy

Orgonite also has healing properties. Alternative healing methods such as Reiki and Quantum Touch are said to make use of this subtle energy to balance and harmonize the body.

How to Use Orgonite

Orgone is believed to exist in two forms. One is the healthy form which is called positive orgone (POR) whereas the other form is what we call deadly orgone (DOR). The function of orgonite is to get rid of this dangerous form of energy. In feng shui, this is called stagnant qi. Stagnant energy is usually produced by modern technologies that tend to emit dangerous frequencies of EMF (e.g., microwaves).

In addition to this, stagnant energy pollutes the environment and creates an imbalance in life energy which can deteriorate physical and mental health. Carrying around an orgonite with you or strategically placing orgonite in your home will keep a healthy flow of POR and help balance the energy around you. Doing so will lead to a healthier and happier you!

What on Earth Is Fulgurite?

December 7, 2020

Fulgurite is exactly the next best thing to holding a lightning bolt in your hand. When cloud-to-cloud lightning discharges into the surface of the earth, it will likely strike at organic materials such as sand, stone, and clay. These materials undergo rapid chemical and morphological transformations. This is how Fulgurite, or commonly known as a lightning fossil, takes shape. Fulgurites are natural glasses. They are sometimes referred to as heaven and earth’s work of art.
