With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the pressure of being single can be a lot to deal with! Love is challenging enough “ so why not use crystals to help us along the way?

Crystals and Chakra Healing

Our chakras work together in harmony to create emotional and physical wellbeing. Ensuring our chakras are aligned is a great way to have our minds and bodies at their best. Energy flows freely through our bodies when our chakras are aligned, and we're able to accept new energies in a positive, revitalizing way. Crystals can assist in aligning the chakras, and there are specific chakras that can be activated when trying to find love.

Balancing and Opening the Heart Chakra

The heart chakra is where your love for yourself and others flows from. Love related emotions such as joy, compassion and empathy also flow through the heart chakra. When we find ourselves struggling to maintain healthy relationships, or fearing intimate connections, we should focus our attention on our heart chakras and making sure it is unblocked and balanced with our other chakras.

Activating the Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra governs how we experience sexuality and sensuality, and how we express emotions and creativity. If you're trying to find love, ensuring your heart and sacral chakras are balanced and activated to their full potential. Our sacral chakra, like all other chakras, can become blocked. You'll know your sacral is blocked if you feel overwhelmed with emotions, experiencing obsessive or compulsive behaviours, overindulging in sexual desires, or even a total loss of interest in sex completley.

Crystals for the Heart Chakra

Rose Quartz

This wouldn't be a proper list of love crystals without rose quartz! This pink stone is deeply connected to our hearts and can help us emotionally open our hearts and minds to receiving love. Rose quartz can also help us feel compassion and love for ourselves and help heal internal emotional wounds. Rose quartz is particularly effective in heart shapes, as that shape symbolizes our literal and emotional hearts.

Green Aventurine

Green aventurine is a revitalizing stone that attracts abundance and encourages growth. Its green colour is often said to encourage prosperity and wealth, and while that is true, it can be of use for encouraging abundance of all kinds. Seizing opportunities and letting go of old relationship drama that no longer serves us is another benefit of green aventurine as it helps us move on from hardships and pursue a path laced with opportunity.

Rhodonite

Rhodonite is believed to be a heartwarming stone that reminds us to enjoy the simple things in life. Its contrasting pink and black hues reflect life's duality that love is beautiful but can also be painful. It's often related to the beauty of roses and pricking of rose thorns in crystal lore. Rhodonite, of course, works with the heart chakra. It is grounding and supportive during times of anxiety and fear and can instill stability and self-compassion.

Rhodochrosite

We should reach for rhodochrosite when we're feeling down on ourselves, in a rut romantically, or during a sexual dry spell. Rhodochrosite is a complex stone that can boost our libido, sexual prowess, and self-expression. Often used to help rekindle an old flame or attract a new one, rhodochrosite is the love stone! It can help us find happy relationships and move on from old traumatic relationships that are holding us back. If we find ourselves falling into old habits, rhodochrosite can help us kick those to the curb and form new, healthy habits that help us instead of hindering us.

Crystals for the Sacral Chakra

Carnelian

Carnelian is known to encourage passion and enhance courage and confidence. Its vitality is said to keep our energy up and motivate exploration and curiosity in oneself and with a partner. Carnelian is also known to be excellent in aiding women’s empowerment as it can help you be more assertive and confident. When we move forward into a new relationship, carnelian can protect our hearts against abuse and resentment of past relationships.

Orange Calcite

Heal your emotional issues and recover from any relationship related trauma with orange calcite. It can enhance sexual playfulness and curiosity and its mineral makeup can act as a naturally occurring aphrodisiac. Orange calcite can also stimulate interest and can be helpful after a slump or period of disinterest.

Amber

Make the right decisions, even under pressure, with amber. Amber is hardened tree resin, so it's considered an organic gem. There can be a lot of back-and-forth during dating new people, and amber can aid us in following our gut instincts to make the right choices. If we're holding onto something from our past that's keeping us stagnant, amber can help release those emotional blockages.

Using Crystals to Find Love

Wearing crystal jewelry and bracelets are an effective and easy way to always have your crystals by your side. If you're trying to absorb that crystals energy into your aura field, try wearing crystals on your left side. And for crystals that you're using to remove any negative energy with, or emit your own energy to others, try wearing them on your right side. Crystals are also very beneficial when used during meditation. They can deepen our experience and remind us of the intention. The slowed-down, entuned version of us that we become when we meditate can exchange energy more freely therefore, we're able to connect with our crystal's energetic vibrations a little easier when in a meditative state.
